Joe is an ecologist with over 25 years' experience. He is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications and one book with Princeton University Press. He has extensive experience in plant ecology and plant-grazer interactions. In 2013 he founded Jonah Ventures along with Noah Fierer to help other scientists answer ecological questions by sequencing environmental DNA.

With a PhD in Ecology and Evolution from Stanford University and over a decade of experience as a field ecologist, Devin integrates deep ecological knowledge with advanced technical skills. Devin's combined expertise in programming and web development enables him to build intuitive, powerful software tools that help clients effectively manage and interpret complex biological datasets. His innovative work has resulted in collaborations with prestigious institutions such as the Smithsonian Institution and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, developing highly scalable bioinformatics solutions and infrastructure tailored specifically for DNA-based biodiversity research.
