Mina Razzak

With a biomedical science degree from Victoria University of Wellington and a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Cambridge, Mina leads editorial operations for all the Nature Reviews journals, previously overseeing including the launch of Nature Reviews Disease Primers as its chief editor. In her role, she has championed diversity, equity and inclusion in publishing and has worked with the editorial teams of Nature Reviews to build multiple platforms and processes to enhance inclusive publishing practices in the journals.

Susan Allison

Susan Allison

Chief Editor, Nature Reviews Nephrology

After completing an honours degree in Biochemistry at the University of Otago, New Zealand, Susan moved to Sydney to take up a PhD position at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, investigating the mechanisms of anabolic bone formation. Susan then moved to Sweden to undertake postdoctoral research at the Stem Cell Institute at Lund University. She left the bench to enter a career in scientific publishing in 2008, joining Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology as Associate Editor, and was appointed Chief Editor of Nature Reviews Nephrology in 2009. In June 2020 Susan took on an expanded role as Consulting Editor for Nature.

Clemens Thoma

Clemens Thoma

Chief Editor, Nature Reviews Disease Primers

After studying pharmacy at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany, Clemens performed doctoral research work at the University of Oxford, UK, investigating ways to improve oncolytic adenovirus virotherapy in the context of ovarian cancer. After obtaining his DPhil, he continued this work as a postdoctoral researcher. Clemens joined Nature Reviews in 2014 and worked on Nature Reviews Urology until he became Acting Chief Editor of Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology in 2018, returning to Nature Reviews Urology in 2019. In 2020, he became Chief Editor of Nature Reviews Disease Primers.
